Anais Granofsky (born May 14, 1973 in Ohio) is a US-born Canadian actress. She has a younger sister named Lea-Helen Weir, who played Norah-Jean Rivera in the Degrassi Junior High episode, ...He's Back. Anais got her acting start in the Canadian TV series as Karen Gillis in The Kids of Degrassi Street and then as Lucy Fernandez in Degrassi Junior High, Degrassi High, School's Out, and the first two seasons of Degrassi: The Next Generation.

She also made appearances in the TV shows OWL/TV, My Secret Identity, Counterstrike, Forever Knight, Goosebumps, Fast Track, Nikita, Twice in a Lifetime, and Soul Food.

She also appeared in some films such as Deceived, We Are The Jury, Rebound, Mind Prey, Invitiation, and The Loretta Claiborne Story.

After Degrassi High ended its run, Anais attended New York University where she graduated with a degree in film making. One of her short films won the top prize at the Tisch School of the Arts.

In 1999, Anais co-founded Have Mercy Pictures. She directed Have Mercy in 1999. In 2001. the second film she wrote, starred and directed On Their Knees, was awarded the Best Film by the Black Film & Video Network 2001 Reel Black Awards.

She has also directed two other films, The Limb Salesman and Cross Country; In addition to directing an episode of Degrassi: The Next Generation, Don't Believe the Hype.
