Caitlin Ryan

Caitlin Ryan (born March 2, 1972) is a Canadian journalist and former host of Ryan's Planet and on the CQJH show, Local Heroes.

As a teenager, she attended Degrassi Junior High School (and later Degrassi High School) Caitlin was also a social activist, fighting for animal rights, and ecological issues. She had a on and off again relationship with Joey Jeremiah and dated Claude Tanner before he committed suicide. Caitlin caught her father cheating on her mother. Caitlin suffered from epilepsy. Joey later proposed to her, which she ended up declining. After graduating from high school a year early, Caitlin when on to attend Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario.

Sometime in the few years after university, Caitlin moved to Los Angeles, where she hosted the environmental show Ryan's Planet. She was engaged to a producer named Keith, but they called it quits when Keith had doubts about their marriage. In 2003, Caitlin moved back to Toronto and got a job as a journalist for CQJH. She re-developed feelings for Joey, but left temporarily after she was offered an assignment to travel the world for 9 months to do a piece on HIV/AIDS. After returning, Caitlin eventually moves in with Joey, after buying his house. Joey proposed to her, and she accepted. Caitlin then quit her job at CQJH, and also called her relationship with Joey quits after being persuaded by Kevin Smith to accept an offer to remake Ryan's planet. Caitlin moved back to Los Angeles.
