Maria Ricossa is a Canadian actress who portrayed Kate Kerwin in Degrassi: The Next Generation. She has worked in film, television, and theater for over 20 years. Besides acting, Maria is a professor at the University of Toronto Scarborough where she teaches acting. She was nominated for a 1982 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Principal Role in a Musical for "They're Playing Our Song" at the Marriott Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.
