Munro Chambers (born on July 29, 1990) is a Canadian actor who has been acting since he was seven years old. He grew up in Ajax, Ontario, Canada, with his identical twin brother Thomas, as well as a younger brother named Michael. Munro is best known for his character, Eli Goldsworthy, on Degrassi and for his role on The Latest Buzz, as Wilder. He was also set to star in a spin-off called Meet The Wilders in the same role as The Latest Buzz but it was not picked up and he was able to star on Degrassi as a result.


He also starred in the movie Beethoven's Christmas Adventure in 2011. He also played as ā€œThe Kidā€ in the movie Turbo Kid which came out in 2015. He plays Frankie Chandler on Lockwood.

He is best friends with Justin Kelly, Luke Bilyk, Demetrius Joyette, and Ricardo Hoyos, and good friends with Jahmil French, Raymond AblackDaniel Kelly, Annie Clark, Shannon Kook-Chun, Aislinn PaulStephan James, Chloe Rose and Cristine Prosperi.

    He met Aislinn Paul (Clare) when he was 13 and she was 10 during the filming of the TV movie Murder in the Hamptons before co-starring with her on Degrassi. Amusingly, Aislinn and Munro played twins in the movie, in contrast to playing love interests on Degrassi.

They are from Brooklyn but they say they are from Sicily and each one of them dies at least once, Munro said in an interview.
  • During the ATX Television Festival Degrassi reunion panel, Munro said that Degrassi taught him about transgender topics and revealed that one of his family members is openly trans, adding that learning through Eli's storyline with Adam "was huge for something [he] didn't realize was going to happen later on in [his] life."
