Joy Tanner is an American-born Canadian actress. She is best known for her role as Nora McDonald-Venturi on Life With Derek, where she co-starred with Degrassi co-star Jordan Todosey, who portrayed her daughter, Lizzie McDonald. She also portrays Laura Coyne on Degrassi, the mother of Declan and Fiona Coyne. Tanner also did the voice of Nala's mother in The Lion King, and appears in Skins (US) as the mother of the character.
