Space Awakening (title similar to Spring Awakening) was a musical put on in Season 9 at Degrassi Community School. The idea of the musical came from Declan Coyne and Jane Vaughn. It is said to be loosely based on Holly J and Declan's relationship.

Plot

It is about Deedee, an alien girl played by Jenna, who visits Earth and ends up being stuck and having to blend into high school. She ends up falling for Greg, a jock played by Peter.

• In Love Lockdown (1) , Clare wins the award for Outstanding Use of Sets and Props and Declan wins the award for Best Direction for Space Awakening.
• It is name after the musical, Spring Awakening.
