Tamara Maria Duarte born 1991 in Toronto, Ontario to Portuguese parents Maria and David Duarte. Tamara has three sisters and six nieces and nephews which all live in the Town of Milton Ontario. Tamara caught the acting bug at the tender age of 5 years old, directing dramatic reenactments of TelaNovels with the kids on her block to starring in several Portuguese Forklore/Matansa Plays. (Telling stories on stage through dance and song.) Tamara’s Mother and Father are still heavily involved in the community and sponsor several groups in the city because of their daughter. Tamara starred in her first hair cutters commercial at the age of 13 through her older sisters friend. Although there was many personal hardships Tamara reunited to her passion the day she turned 18 (legally able to sign her own agent contract and against her parents wishes.) While putting herself through school, working for a division of Citibank and perusing acting Tamara has managed to truly work her way from the bottom Associate Producing a 22 minute short and soon after starring as The character Charlie in Degrassi: TNG .
Her first appearances in front of the camera for national commercials such as, Burger King, Pedigree, and Kraft Dinner. She went on to Film and T.V and currently plays Charlie, Fiona's love interest, in Season 11 and Season 12. She is best friends with fellow castmate, Alicia Josipovic and Shannon Kook.
