Thomas Faron was Zane's ex-boyfriend, he was only seen in episode The Way We Get By (1), but throughout this episode we can tell that Thomas is very artsy and is even an artist. Zane also mentions that they are now friends, thus why they were hanging out with each other.

After Riley insults one of Thomas's paintings, Thomas ran in the bathroom and stayed there for an hour with Zane comforting him.
