Tyler Bishop (b. 1988) is from Wasaga Beach. Four years before his first appearance, Sean Cameron, a fellow peer, deafened him in one ear when they got into a fight. Sean later moved to Toronto. Tyler later saved Sean's life when Sean went back to Wasaga and almost drowned. He is a life guard at the beach. This was after Tyler had confonted Sean over killing Rick, as he was unaware that he was saving Emma's life. Many judged Sean for the inccident with Tyler at Degrassi in the early years but Emma understood.
(Sean was in grade 10 and 16 years old when he saw Tyler again. It can be assumed that they are the same age.)
